They will shatter if dropped and if you stack them or clink them in the dishwasher they will chip and scratch. But I hand wash and am careful so aside from a few blemishes from shipping they hold up well and are microwave safe. For the price I don't think I could find a better value/setThese plates are beautiful and the bowels are the perfect size for a serving. The both have a bit of weight to them and feel nice to hold. The mugs are super cute as well. Some of the pieces in this set also have a navy tint to the stripe that's on them that I love, but is not visible in the photos. The way they are colored does leave room for a slight difference in the design lining but by no means is that a bad thing.After I used these plates for a week,I give some reviews now, because I want to give the most realistic evaluation. I was very excited when I received the plates,which are modern and clean looking, the color is modern yellow with bling golden edge. These are quality products. This set would make a wonderful gift for someone or just a way to brighten up your own meals. I can’t believe I’ve become the person excited about a dinnerware set! The quality is EXCELLENT and can hold a lot of food. These are microwave safe and dishwasher safe. I would suggest these.Beautiful but easily scratchedLove love
