I used to have a set of Ironmaster quicklock dumbbells. The main advantages of the ironmaster vs the prisp are speed of weight change and the flat surface of the dumbbell end where these have the bar sticking out.These dumbbells aren't perfect but they are pretty good and more affordable.I bought each set of these, the 40 60 and 200lb sets so I can have different weights on each or them and changing the weight is not needed as often. Saves a lot of time between sets.The cons are the black paint chips quite easily and the bar and weight are actually 1 1/16 instead of 1" so you can't use regular standard weight plates on these bars but you can use these plates on standard bars if you wish.It seems to be done on purpose? I'm not sure why else a company would do that than to make their product different and force you to continue using their weights instead of others? I'm not sure but its a bit stupid if you ask me.Other than that I like them. The spin locks spin smoothly and I bought all 3 sets so Its almost better than one set of ironmasters for example.I use thicker grips on the handles. One picture shows the black grips which were $22 on amazon. I also have the blue and orange fat gripz which blue is thicker than the black and orange is thicker then the blue at 2.75 inches.Using grips engages your muscles more, especially forearms and even biceps when doing curls. I think that the black grips are actually more comfortable to use then the plain bar and the other 2 start to become challenging.
